You are able to use Medicaid and many insurances for services at BCSAS and we are state funded. To find out what your out-of-pocket cost might be for services at BCSAS, just call 945-1387 and ask to sit down with Pat. She will provide you a free consultation designed to find the most convenient and least expensive means of paying services costs. You will know the complete rate for services and what amount of that you will be asked to pay. Please bring your insurance or Medicaid card with you and any forms required to use your insurance.

Barry County Substance Abuse Services has a program to fit your needs...

  • Marijuana Education (Please call for current information)
    • What – Two weeks of education regarding marijuana, classifications of drugs, drug interactions, stages of use, abuse, and dependency.
    • Who – First time offenders who have been arrested or charged with a marijuana offense and are appropriate for education only.
    • When – Meets on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on an on-going basis.
    • Cost – $20.00 for each week.

  • Alcohol Information and Me (AIM)

  • Alcohol Highway Safety Education
    Six hours of education focused upon the laws pertaining to drinking and driving in Michigan, alcohol’s impact on driving skills and social problems stemming from drunk driving. Designed for those not needing more intensive intervention. Usually two, three-hour classes from 5 to 8 pm.

  • Decisions Group
    DG is an eight-session early intervention group for drivers designed to encourage sound decision making. Incorporates realty-based thinking elements in order to assist each person in gaining the most from their experiences and weighing a sound decision for a healthier lifestyle.

  • Relapse Breakout Group
    RBG is a group designed for those who have experienced the frustration of having relapsed after a decision to stop using alcohol or drugs. RBG provides the proven tools so that you can recognize warning signs of an approaching relapse and helps you develop a plan to avoid it. NEW!! Day and Time to be provided.

  • The Women's Place
    Women Helping Women...Coffee and smiles are always on...

  • The Women's Way
    Designed specifically for women in recovery. Each week we take an in-depth look at one of the 12 Steps of AA with the goal of attaining a deeper understanding of how the Steps can be utilized to support lasting recovery. Tuesdays 10 am to 11:30 am.  Most people pay $3 to $7 per session for Women’s Way participation.

  • Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program

  • Barry County Substance Abuse Services offers Intensive Outpatient Services through a group process. The purpose is to help the young person to battle any current or potential drug/alcohol addiction concern. For ages 12 to 17!

    In our group we will:

    • Show how drugs and alcohol affect YOU now and in your future.
    • Help discover YOU and how to make decisions for YOU.
    • Give YOU alternatives to using drugs and/or alcohol.
    • Tackle the problems YOU have and help find answers for YOU.
